On behalf of the staff, governors, and children, welcome to our school website.

St Greg’s is here for all to see, this website is a means of lifting the roof of the school and letting you peer in.  You will see our classrooms, our swimming pool and much more besides.  We have easily accessible information on safeguarding, pupil & sports premium, and other policies.  You can even explore some of our history which dates to 1874!

You will find St Greg’s is a place of fun, laughter and of course learning.  We want all our children to achieve, to be the absolute best they can be. We set about this by recognising that each child is uniquely different – each possessing different skills and abilities. Nurturing these talents is our mission, together we achieve great things. 

Our learning has no limits!

We have pride in our Christian beliefs, the school values are LOVE, FAITH & HOPE – these encompass many other values and the team at St Gregory’s encourage and support our children to live these out in their daily lives.  These are not just words, we invoke these into various facets of our learning and life at school.

The success of a school is down to its team, that consists not only of the staff, but of the children themselves, governors, parents, and carers.  For it is only by working together that our children grow into confident, mature, and articulate young people who are ready for the next step in their education.

Our Single Equality policy sets out our commitment to tackle discrimination whether direct or indirect, individual or institutional and promoting equality of opportunity and good relations across all areas of school activities, including our dealing with parents and the community.

At St Gregory’s we continuously strive to ensure that everyone in our school is treated with respect and dignity as reflected in our school vision, values, and theological underpinning. The guiding principles in our Single Equality Policy reflect that each person in our school will be given fair and equal opportunities to develop their full potential with positive regard to gender, ethnicity, cultural and religious background, age, sexuality or disability.

The school is committed to promoting good relations between persons of different groups and avoiding discrimination whether direct or indirect. The school will actively promote equality, oppose discrimination in all its forms and foster positive attitudes, respect, equality and partnership as we work with pupils, parents, carers and the wider community.

Our Governing Body has specific Governors whose special remit is to monitor Safeguarding, Inclusion and Data. Governors and staff regularly use performance data to monitor pupil achievement and respond to variations between groups of pupils, subjects, key stages, trends over time and comparisons with other schools. This tracking of data specifically impacts the School Development Plan each year
