Welcome to Foxes Class Page.

We are years 4, 5, & 6

We will share our achievements and adventures on this page so please do check in from time to time.

Life in school is a busy and non more so than for Year 6, perhaps you are Chair, Vice-Chair or Scribe of the School Council; a Young Worship Ambassador or perhaps a House Captain. The most important  thing is that you’ll have your friends that you’ve had all the way along the journey with you to enjoy it.

Our Year 4 & 5 pupils benefit hugely from the examples set by our Year 6, it is sure to be a rewarding year for each and everyone of Foxes class.

Mrs Irvine is our teaching assistant.

Weekly Timetable

Curious as to what an average Foxes week looks like?

This timetable will alter from term to term but in essence this is how we spend our week in Foxes class

The Sound of Samba

After a term spent learning the art of Samba Drumming, it was lovely to see Foxes Class put on a very lively (and loud…) concert.  Great concentration was shown by everyone and the audience enjoyed watching the children shake, rattle and hit the various authentic instruments.  Superbly co-ordinated by Mr Colwell, who kept everyone in time with just a whistle, the children really developed their musicianship skills during the term and presented a very polished performance.

PGL Adventures

Children in Years 5 and 6 had a wonderful time at the PGL Beam House site near Bideford.  Nearly 4 days of wall climbing, night-time wide-games, problem solving, zip wires, abseiling, rifle-shooting and archery, evening campfire and lots of singing kept the children entertained, busy and happy. They seemed to have a wonderful time and it was great to see them grow in confidence and, for many, be comfortable staying away from home for the first time. They all challenged themselves and each of them came away being proud of their achievements. We were very proud of them, too, and they were a super group to take away.

Many thanks to Mrs Dunn for giving up so much of her time to come with us.

To The Heart of the Matter

Year 6 have been exploring what makes us tick.  Special thanks to Dr. Bowden for guiding us through the intricacies of the heart.  Everyone got to explore and dissect a real heart
