Welcome to St Gregory’s School
A message from our Headteacher: Mrs Debbie Field
Courage, Thankfulness, Respect, Forgiveness, Honesty, Friendship
On behalf of everyone at St Gregory’s I would like to welcome you and your family to our school website. I hope you will find all the information you are looking for and it gives a glimpse of daily life at St Gregory’s, encompassing the wonderful experiences we offer our children.
At St Gregory’s we have high expectations and standards, encouraging and supporting all children to reach their potential.
I am so pleased to have welcomed ALL our children back this September after what has been such challenging and unprecedented times for everyone in our community. We have all had very different experiences during lockdown and our priority is to support our children and families coming back from these.
For me personally seeing the children back in their class bubbles, so excited to see their peers and their teachers has made being a head teacher so worthwhile. Despite being open through the whole of lockdown – the school was not alive like it is now with chattering, laughter and the buzz of children learning, challenging each other, sharing ideas, feelings and questioning the world around them. The smiles on their faces certainly reflects the enjoyment and enthusiasm towards their learning.
We are a happy thriving village school, with close links to our church and community. Our highly-trained teachers and staff are devoted to every child’s safety, development and happiness..
It is important to us that all the children in our care achieve and develop as confident, capable individuals who are able to live a safe, healthy and fulfilling life. Looking back at their time at St Gregory’s with memories which will always provoke a smile and a knowledge of success
If you would like to see more, please feel free to come and visit us.
